Success Stories
A Brief History
Clinics without Borders and our partner, Dr. Delia Meza opened our first barrio clinic in Puerto Penasco, Mexico in November, 2006. Since that time, the clinic has been opened and has treated hundreds of people from the neighborhood that otherwise would not have been able to receive care. In one case, Dr Meza was able to diagnose a ruptured appendix in a neighborhood child and was able to arrange for immediate surgery at the local hospital and thus saved a life. The children have especially been helped by the addition of the clinic in the neighborhoods within walking distance or hundreds of families. Many cases of illness due to contaminated drinking water have been successfully treated along with flu, bronchitis, and similar problems.

Our second partnership is presently in the development phase. CWB has agreed to finance the first mobile clinic for Rev Okongo’s Unite 4 Africa organization. The concept includes local healthcare workers in Northern Ghana utilizing the mobile clinic to travel from village to village, bringing basic health care and aid to people that have never had this opportunity before. As this mission develops, we will be able to add further details but we are very excited about this opportunity.
